May 14, 2012 Long time no update - but we have a lot going on! First of all, the new EP is almost done, and we're celebrating with an EP Release Party at Joe's Pub on Saturday, June 16th and 9:30 PM! We really hope you can join us for the big night. While Joanna and the band have been working hard recording new songs for your listening pleasure, a few other side projects have been in the works. In fact, just scroll down to watch the new video for Only Child (Or click over to view the video on YouTube right here). But that's not all! Joanna has also been continuing her work with Blockhead on their collaborative project The Mighty Jones. Following last year's debut of Drag Me Down, check out the video for their new song The Spell (and head here to comment).
October 12, 2011 Three new shows have been scheduled for October and November, which will feature plenty of songs from the still-in-progress second album by The Midnight Show. A return engagement to Joe's Pub is on deck, as well as the band's first performance together in Philadelphia at the fantastic World Cafe Live venue as part of Femme Fatale Philly, a show highlighting exciting new female performers. But up first, come see the band this Saturday at Spike Hill at 10:00 PM, followed by the wonderful Not Waving But Drowning! June 30, 2011 Stop by the second stage at Rockwood Music Hall next Tuesday for Joanna and the band's next show! Also, the Midnight Show were profiled in OurStage's blog: "On Hearts Explode, she cautions, 'I’m sick of being patient; I’m ready to attack' through a torchy, diaphanous arrangement of strings, keys and percussion. Despite the warning, her secretive, romantic music has likely already drawn you in." First of all, there's a show at Rock Shop in Brooklyn on May 28 - can't wait to see you there! In the meantime, recording continues in preparation for the new album. Finally, Joanna snagged a mention in Seventeen Magazine; Entourage's Adrian Grenier plugs Joanna Erdos and Blockhead's Drag Me Down as the last song on his iPod. "Amazing stuff". July 16, 2009 Join The Midnight Show at Webster Hall on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 8:00 PM! The band will be playing material from the album, as well as several new songs! Keep checking back for news on more upcoming shows and recordings. February 1, 2009 Come see the band this Wednesday, February 4th at 8:00 PM at Southpaw, 125 Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11217. Joanna Erdos And The Midnight Show have won the indie Pop Channel on Ourstage for the month of January! Thanks to your votes, All The Water beat out more than 500 other songs to finish in the top slot in Indie Pop and 9th overall in music.
The band has also been featured on several blogs and review sites in recent months. The album Joanna Erdos And The Midnight Show was named #1 in the Top Ten Best Rock Piano Albums at Cult Classic Radio.
